Antoni Tolmos creates a new gospel version of the International University anthem “Gaudeamus Igitur”

About thirty musicians perform the new version of the International University anthem “Gaudeamus Igitur” under the direction and arrangements of the pianist, composer and professor at the Lleida University Antoni Tolmos.

Among the performers, the group “Barcelona Gospel Messengers” stands out, considered the best in Catalonia in its style and one of the most prestigious in the Spanish state.

In addition, musicians from the string section of the Julià Carbonell Symphony Orchestra of the Lands of Lleida also participate, as well as other renowned musicians from the Lleida scene such as Jaume Olivé, Òscar Canosa, Enric Navarra, Gabriel Tripiana and Víctor Alba.

The book will also be presented with the scores arranged by Antoni Tolmos, which also includes a philological and historical approach by the professor and professor of Latin Matías López López.

The initiative of the new “GAUDEAMUS IGITUR” arises from the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Social Work and has been carried out thanks to the coordination of communication, dissemination and press of the University of Lleida
